Cryptomnesia

Cryptomnesia is a form of memory which causes experiences to appear to the subject as new, without conscious recognition of or identification with their original’ (from Webster dictionary)

‘Cryptomnesia’ uses stream of consciousness writing, stillness, breath, idiosyncratic movement, and psycho-somatic memory to invoke the moment to moment experience of an isolated individual, while ironically commenting on the effort to structure and preserve the illusion of separate, distinct identity within the elusive concept of being in the present moment.
