The initial inspiration for the piece came from the poem, ‘For A Child Born Dead’ by Elizabeth Jennings. I have sought to explore emotional intention through movement generated from the words of the poem, the subject matter and my research including testimonials written by parents that have experienced the stillbirth of a child.
