Throughout this process she developed a fruitful working relationship with composer A.Lorenzo who created the musical arrangement for “April”. She then went on to work in collaboration A.Lorenzo to create music for “Praying Mantis” for Islington Arts Factory, showcased at the Lilian Baylis Theatre and The Bloomsbury Theatre.

Low Blue Flame

A solo work danced and choreographed by Hana Saotome and created collaboration with composer A. Lorenzo.
A soundscape was created working closely in collaboration with the movement.

Smooth serene sound combined
with moments of more complex rhythmic patterning.

Self contained movement with dynamic shifts of energy levels and movement qualities. Both
movement and sound are inspired by the quote
” To burn with a low blue flame,…… hot despite its smallness and calmness” (Jeanie Breaker, Artist).

Choreographed & performed by Hana Saotome
