Cloud Dance Festival | Jackie O’Toole & Dancers
Eve
“Eve” is a piece that was choreographed through the inspiration and exploration of Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD). Although the piece that I have created is not to solely explain the sickness, but rather to entertain an audience in the thought of three dancers acting as if they are one. The Three Faces of Eve was first a book and later created into a motion by Fox Films in 1957. The dance is loosely related to, and inspired by the true story put-forth in the film. Within the work, there are three dancers who each have solo work and selected sections of unison where the dancers are hidden are choreographed to move in and out of each other, acting as if they were one person or “dancer” with slipping personalities emerging.
Choreographer: Jackie O’Toole
Dancers: Emily Way, Cristina Suarez, Devon Kelly
